Anthony McDonnell is Full Professor of Human Resource Management and the Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at the Cork University Business School (CUBS), University College Cork. Prior to joining UCC in November 2016, Anthony was Head of the Management Group and Reader in Management at Queen’s University Belfast. He has also previously held appointments at the University of South Australia, and University of Newcastle (Australia). He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Human Resource Management Journal (HRMJ), ranked as world leading in the UK and Australian Business Journals List, and sits on the editorial advisory boards of several international journals. Anthony’s primary research interests and area of expertise are in the areas of talent management and international HRM. His research has been published in many of the leading international journals including Human Relations, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Journal of World Business and the International Journal of Human Resource Management. His research has been funded by the Australian Research Council and Irish Research Council.
